Different text displays in search results

  • Google does not always stick to given titles or descriptions. Often Google searches for the texts itself from the website and also changes the titles. Sometimes Google deletes e.g. the page name from the title or changes separators like ? to a simple -. You have no influence on this.

    To confirm that the issue is Google and not Yoast SEO, check the page source. Does the meta description in the page source match what you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin?
