Different Theme for Mobile

I’m trying to figure out the best way of loading a specific theme when the site is viewed in a mobile browser.

My screen theme is fine for what it does, but there is lots (and lots and lots, the majority, actually) of code that just doesn’t need to be loaded when the site is viewed in a mobile browser.

Is there a way to switch themes when the site is being viewed in a mobile browser?
