Different types of Featured Posts

  • With the Hueman theme, all my articles appear as featured posts in the home page slider. Can I isolate certain posts so that they do not appear in the slider? Searched the forum but did not find the answer.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Hi tipunch. One way to do this would be in Theme Options > Blog, set a Featured Category. That should limit the posts in the slider to those in the specified category. Another option would be to copy function alx_get_featured_post_ids() from the parent theme to a child theme, and then modify the get_posts() arguments as described in the Codex Template Tags/get posts.
