different WP address and Site address

I read the issue with “different WP address and Site Address” was solved in version 1.1.0, but it looks like it is still an issue in my situation.
My WordPress Address (URL) is
https://www.elangco.nl/wordpress
But my Site Address (URL) is
https://www.elangco.comThis is one of the FOUR domains of my multi-language site.
I chose this setting because WPML is happy with it (site address corresponds with default language), but now Knews is UNhappy with it. (I guess Knews assumes the site address will be a substring of the WordPress address.
What should I do? Will setting the site adress to https://www.elangco.nl break WPML?
