    Hello,

So I created this news website and is trying to optimize its On-Page SEO.
One of the problems reported by my SEO tools is that some of the news article I posted has Title Tags that are too long.

Now, I do want the H1 Heading in the article to be that long, and the slug for the URL is still acceptable per my SEO Tools. I just need to edit the Title Tags to be a little shorter. However, I cannot find a way to adjust that under “Edit Post” Page.

I have 175 pages that has this On-Page SEO issue. So any advise on how to ONLY edit the Title Tags without modifying the slug and the H1 tag would be much appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The HTML title tags are controlled by your SEO tool, Yoast SEO, and not WordPress.

I cannot find a way to adjust that under “Edit Post” Page.

You have to open each post and edit the title (and optionally, the other Yoast SEO features) in the Yoast SEO plugin’s panel. You should find the Yoast panel at the bottom of the post editor (unless you’ve re-positioned it).

    Good luck!

    Hello George,

I appreciate your time answering my questions.
Yoast SEO plugin panels only give me the option to change the SEO title and URL/slug. But after researching further, turns out SEO title IS the Title Tag in the raw HTML. My SEO issue is resolved now. Thanks!
