• We are testing out the use of this plugin and have run into an issue where we are seeing the correct location information using the Geolocation Lookup in the WordPress admin section, but then seeing different information when viewing the live site. The Geolocation Lookup tool correctly identifies all of our exact location detail (US, Indiana and even city), whereas the front-end shows that we are in Canada with no detailed information about that location. We are using WP Rocket, but have disabled caching on this test page, and have enable the use of AJAX in the options. For our frontend testing we are using the Frontend JS code example from the API: AJAX page on Github. Is there something we are missing in order to get the frontend to positively identify our location?

Note – We are using the Automatic download & update of Maxmind GeoIP Lite City option in our settings.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hm. The AJAX frontend should use the same data as the Backend. Maybe there is something stored in the browser – can you try calling the frontend from Private Mode?

If this is not the problem, you can also add the shortcode [geoip_detect2_get_client_ip], switch Shortcode AJAX on and check if the IP is the same that is detected in the backend lookup page.
