Hi there! I installed this theme on a fresh installation, and I’ve purchased the slider that goes with it – but I’ve noticed that every time I try to log in, I need to reset my password to get access to the WordPress dashboard. This problem doesn’t happen when I switch themes – but switching themes resets all of the customizer settings in the emmet theme, so this troubleshooting is costing a lot of time.. was wondering if you can pinpoint what is causing the login problem?

Just FYI if anyone else has the same issue – this had nothing to do with the theme or the paid plugin, but the hosting account that the client purchased didn’t have the webconfig file set to writable. It was a windows-hosted basic GoDaddy account, and here’s the solution if you’re looking for what I did to resolve it.

Kind of bummed I had no response from the developer of this theme for help troubleshooting though, as the theme is rough to troubleshoot due to its extensive usage of the customizr.

My solution there – to save the customizer settings – was to use this paid plugin to export my site before I went disabling themes and plugins to figure out the cause.

Hi Laura, sorry for a late reply. Switching a theme should not reset all settings while all widgets and settings are saved in database. Moreover each theme settings are saved in a separate ‘place’ by theme slug. You may experiment with any default theme like twentyfifteen or twentysixteen by customizing theme once. When switching between these themes you should see your previously configured settings and widgets.
