    Hi,

    When I test purchasing a digital product that has a download on my website, the download never starts when I click the link under “Download” in the email I recieve. The download does start, when I copy the link in a new browser tab. I am using Google Chrome. I have tried on my phone and it does work on there aswell. It works on Microsoft Edge. Not Google Chrome. The file download method I have selected is “Force downloads”. I have tried “Redirect only” method, and that one does work also, but I don’t want to use it because of security reasons.

    Please help!

    Thanks for the information. I’m not sure if you’re still expiring this issue, but it seems that you’ve isolated the problem to Chrome, and we’ve not had any reports of forced downloads not working on Chrome, so we need to see why it’s not working for you.

    Some things I would try if you haven’t already.

    1. Make sure your browser is up-to-date; if you’re not sure, you can check here: https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
    2. Test a new profile on Chrome (which is essentially like a new session of Chrome without any of your history or user data) to see if the downloads work there. Chrome has some step-by-step instructions for creating a new user profile here. Does it work there? If so, then something is conflicting with your existing Chrome profile. You can find some great steps to troubleshooting common browser issues in this article.

    @ash1eygrace it seems to be a SSL issue: with SSL enabled the downloads do start
