Digital Downloads Fail on Mobile Phones

    Digital Downloads with extension m4a work fine on a PC with Firefox and Chrome but on an iPhone using Safari and Firefox on Android they always stop downloading before it completes. In fact on an iPhone there is no option to download, it just tries to play the file and downloads for a standard couple of seconds then stops with the ‘can’t play’ symbol. Since Woo limits the number of downloads, this would be unsatisfactory even if it worked. Does someone know how to handle m4a downloads with Woo and mobile phones?

    Hi there,

    Although I haven’t tried downloading the m4a file on mobile – WooCommerce does not change the downloadable file or a link in any way and I’d expect the same exact behavior as if the link was opened in your mobile browser.

    Have you tried opening the same exact link on your phone directly?

    You can also enter external link(s) if you think your server might be affecting the ability to download your files in any way:

    I’m also not aware of the download limit, at least if it isn’t specified in the product settings:
