    Hello,

I don’t want to use my hosting server to upload digital products for speed & performance reasons, instead I want to use external cloud storages to upload digital products. So woocommerce gives 3 methods to give customers download digital products: Force download, X-Accel-Redirect/X-sendfile and Redirect Only (insecure). The first & second option don’t work with my direct download links (below an example if you want to test in your enviroment):

    https://m.box.com/file/655862772155/download?shared_link=https%3A%2F%2Fapp.box.com%2Fs%2Fj2jc9t7ekn6tp7lou8l6i90t4s2g4jxt

But the third option (Redirect Only Insecure) works like a charm. The problem is, that I received a message from WooCommerce saying that I need to switch the download method because this third option is deprecated.

Then what’s the solution for this?
I’ll really appreciate your help and solution for this issue!

    Thank you

Where are you seeing this notice? I tested on my site and am not able to replicate a depreciation notice.

You can read more about the 3 download options here:

    Hi @amandasjackson

Thank you for your quick reply,
This is the message that I’m seeing:

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1aJxLb2cqBxlmAGGIQRs93fzcgaM5l2Te

From where is it come from? It wasn’t woocommerce team who added?
    Please let me know.

    Hi @romonoutic

Ah, yes, thanks for the screenshot! I understand the notice that you are seeing now.

This option is deprecated for redirects if the download is served from the site, however, if it’s served from a 3rd party site it isn’t deprecated and can be used (which in your case, it sounds like you plan to use a 3rd party option).
