digital downloads with Amazon S3

  • I have an woo commerce site but cannot get the digital files to download from Amazon S3 unless I have permissions set to “everyone”. Then the force downloads are available immediately after customer pays.

    My access and secret access keys don’t seem to be accepted when permissions are set to “authenticated user”. The documents from woo commerce seemed so straightforward.

    Can anyone help?

    Question: If permissions are set to “everyone”, how can anyone access this file when I am using force download so they never see the URL?

  • This should work fine.

    On S3, set the file(s) to public.

    Are you using any other plugins?

    And when the files are set to public, anyone with the link can get access, which defeats the object. Same on my side. No signed URL is being created by the S3 plugin. Am I missing anything? How can I get it signed?
