Digital nature Arclite & nextgen gallery problem

  • Hello,
    I have a problem with nextgen gallery plugin in arclite theme:
    when i click on thumb image to open gallery, the first opened image stays below gallery, and you have to double click it to close. I tried same gallery with other templates, and it works fine, image does not stay behind, and it closes on single click. First i thought some of my tweaks are causing problem, but i tried it with clean, original arclite and same thing.

    BTW i like the theme alltogether, and already done many tweaks, so i am not considering switching to other theme :).

  • I am experiencing the same problem and would also like to hear about solutions.

    I’m using a custom child theme based on Thematic.

    I belive I solved the problem (thanks to good ol’ Firebug).

    By changing the gallery effect from Shutter to Lightbox, the ghost went away.

    Explanation (I think):

    I have the Lightbox2 plugin installed. There was probably a conflict with either the Lightbox2 JavaScript or CSS or both.

    Ny NextGen options had been set to use the Shutter effect (the default). This, apparently invoked the shutter-reloaded.css stylesheet. The ghost image has a style of opacity: 0.8 and a background-color of #000.
