Digital product download won’t work after Order

    Hi Support,

    I’m Tamas. I just experienced a problem with Woocommerce checkout. I have set up a downloadable digital product, enabled Strip test mode to test the payment process. I checked all settings according to the guidance found here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/
    I guess in general everything should be good to go.
    So, in theory, I should be able to perform a product download on the “Order details” page under “Downloads” after a payment proceeded.
    However, when I clicking on the download button labelled with the product name, it reloads to a blank page and doesn’t execute the download. – ??? –
    So at this point, the customer ends up on a blank page with no download…:/ But here is the trick, if I hit a refresh on this page the download happens as it should. – ??? –
    The problem is that this is not how it should work.
    So I’m looking for suggestions now or someone who could help me to figure out a solution. Or in the worst case even just a code snippet would do in child …functions.php, that could remove the “woocommerce-order-downloads” div from the Order Details page. Afterall, at least the email download link works. I just want to either fix or remove this option on the “Order Details” page.

    Hi Tamas,

    This isn’t something that I’ve seen before and I’m wondering whether this might be related to a theme/plugin conflict – Are you still experiencing the same issue after deactivating all of your plugins (except WooCommerce) and switching to the default Twenty Seventeen theme?

    Also, can you paste a copy of your system status report as found under WooCommerce > Status?

    Yes, I still experiencing the problem after all the plugins turned off on my theme. However, when I changed to twenty sixteen theme the problem did not occur anymore, the download worked properly. Even with all plugins turned back on. So it seems to be related to the theme I use.
    Also, I have a system message on my WP dashboard from WooCommers plugin I guess. It says:

    “Your theme (Timber Child) contains outdated copies of some WhooCommerce template files.” Wou

    So that will lead me now to the theme developer, asking them as well about this issue.
    I will share an update from their end on this situation soon.

    Thanks for running those tests – Since everything is working when switching to Twenty Sixteen, it would definitely point to your theme being the culprit and my suggestion would definitely be to get in touch with its developers.
