• I went to my blog page and noticed that the right column with previous dates, posts, search, etc. was missing. I went to the admin page and noticed that a new version of WP was available. I’m sorry, I don’t recall what number version it was. I clicked on it to install, but got a notice that my system wouldn’t support it.

I researched and learned an out of date plugin might be the problem, so I did an update and got this:

    This page isn’t working

hazeltwigg.com is currently unable to handle this request.

    HTTP ERROR 500

I’m currently using Chrome. I loaded Firefox and my blog page is completely blank.

    I have ZERO computer knowledge. I’m using “Windows 7 Professional”, processor 2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz on a 32-bit operating system.

I’ve spent hours looking into ways to fix this: System Restore, but I only have a current starting point, and other things. I did not backup my content.

    PLEASE HELP.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

if your site is hosted by GoDaddy.com: you could look in the database in your webhosting account to see of your data is still in there. your blog posts would be in the posts table of the database. you could export all of the database as a partial backup of your website. depending on your webhosting plan, it’s possible that the webhost might have a backup copy of your website. if you are not sure where to find the database in your webhosting account, please contact your webhosting vendor support for guidance.

you can also deactivate all plugins in the database. deactivating plugins might help you get access to the WP-Admin area for further troubleshooting. try this guide: https://www.godaddy.com/help/disable-wordpress-plugins-in-the-database-26345
