Dire

  • This editor makes document creation hard work – its a bag of poo. Splitting documents into blocks that make no sense, only being able to write in a thin narrow column, both in visual mode and HTML mode. The whole thing feels very old fashioned.

    Hiya,

    Beyond feeling old fashioned, did you find anything good in the new editor? If not, was there any specifics that you found difficult to use?

    As for the content width in the editor, this is just a default value that’s god for readability, themes can (and should!) provide their own width, they can with the classic editor, although very few utilize this feature, but it’ll be even more important with Gutenberg where we want to give the closest possible representation of what your content will look like when done.
