How do I add Direct Bank Transactions to an existing PayPal checkout

    Hello @malcj ??

How do I add Direct Bank Transactions to an existing PayPal checkout

By default, WooCommerce does not offer PayPal as a payment option. I assume that you are using a plugin for offering PayPal as a payment option in your store. In this case, it would be best to approach the developer of the plugin you’re using. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response Niels, but the reason for my question begins with how the payments on the Dashboard are arranged.

On the Payments tag from the Woocommerce Dashboard this seems to indicate that I could include Direct Payments (BACS) along with PayPal, but if this is the case, I wasn’t sure how different amounts of payments could be included on one checkout.

Or am I misinterpreting this process?

@malcj I’m not sure if I understand your question correctly. Would you mind explaining what section you are referring to, potentially sharing a link, what you expect to see and what you are you seeing instead?

If you could share a screenshot that shows the corresponding section, that would be helpful. You can upload the screenshot to your media library and share the link with us, or you can use a service like Droplr or CloudApp to share the image file.

Neils sorry about the lack of clarity, I am not a Web Developer?so this problem is new to me and I am trying to help the Treasurer of the Club who wants to extend Membership and Shop payments to include Direct Bank Payments, as well as the present PayPal and card system.

So I logged onto the WordPress Dashboard and then WooCommerce then Settings and then Payments.

The Payments show our present payments as PayPay and Advanced Card processing, but I wanted to be sure that the Direct Bank Transfer would work with the existing payments.

    Hello malcj,

    Thank you for your reply.

There is no need to apologize and it does not make any difference if you are not a web developer.
We are here for your assistance and help you resolve any issue you face.

To enable the Direct Bank Transfer payment method, you need to enable it and then configure it.
Here is our guide that has detailed steps and screenshot to help you.

Direct Bank Transfer is comparatively easier to configure as it does not require any integration with a 3rd party service. If you face any difficulty, let me know.

    Have a great day!

Thanks Zubair, that helps a lot, but there is one aspect that I am not entirely sure about and that is will the Direct Bank Transfers interfere with the PayPal payments already active.
    Neils original email stated that:
By default, WooCommerce does not offer PayPal as a payment option.
Can you know if this would be the case?
    Thanks

    Hi @malcj ,

You can enable Direct Bank Transfers in WooCommerce and it won’t interfere with your current PayPal payment method. WooCommerce is designed to support multiple payment options at checkout, giving customers the flexibility to choose their preferred method.

Each payment gateway operates separately, so you can have Direct Bank Transfers and PayPal active without any issues.

by default, WooCommerce does not offer PayPal as a payment option.

This means that there is no built-in functionality to integrate PayPal in the core WooCommerce settings, so using a third-party plugin is required in this case.

I hope this clears things up! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you Joneyad, I will put this to our operating team and see if they want to move forward.

Can you clarify just one point:
if both PayPal and BACS are offered as payment options for one Product, which amount should be shown on the product listing?

    Hi there!

When both PayPal and BACS are offered as payment options for a product, the product listing will typically show the base price of the product. The payment method does not affect the price displayed on the product page.

However, once the customer proceeds to the checkout, the available payment methods (PayPal and BACS) will be presented as options for them to choose from. The total amount (including shipping, taxes, and any discounts) will then be displayed, regardless of the payment method chosen.

    I hope this helps.
