• Hey there mate,

Thanks for the plugin (it works great)

Just a quick question. What is the purpose of the ‘Redirect’ column that is shown on the ‘Pages’ post type?

I added a redirect called ‘/aboutus.html’ to redirect to ‘/aboutus’. What I thought this column would do is show me all of the targeted redirects for each page (so for this example when I view all of my pages and look at the ‘About Us’ page, it would show me that it has a redirect going to it) In this way you could see what pages actively have redirects going to it.

Just curious as to how it all work

    Have a good day!

    Simon

  • Hi Simon,
    Good question.

The column in the page and post list page is meant to easily show ‘Individual Redirects’ that are set up on a post/page.

We have discussed something like what you are thinking, so it is a possibility in a future release. Until then, if you don’t use the Individual redirects, you can simply turn off the redirects column if it is of no use.

    Warmest regards,
    Don

    Hey there Don,

    Thanks for the reply.

I’ll disable them for now and maybe it will be a future down the track (because It would be good to see a summary on the pages list screen that shows if any are going to pages, it would stop be from accidentally deleting pages that have redirects against them)

    Have a good day!

    Simon
