Direct Download Link With A Picture Or Logo

Hey everyone,

So I am new to Word press and have searched the forums everywhere to try and find this but have been unsuccessful in doing so.

What I am trying to do is create a direct download link, but instead of having a text hyperlink I would prefer to have a picture or logo that can be clicked on to start the download.

Secondly, I am trying to set this up for a long mp3 file and have it so the download automatically starts. Currently when the link is clicked it links to another page and starts to play the file, no matter what web browser is used. Any ideas on how to stop this so it just downloads directly? The whole ‘Right Click – Save As’ thing is not ideal and is not very professional.
