Direct Link to Pages Widget

I have a Pages Widget that is displayed on my page with a dropdown list of Pages that viewers can click on.

On these pages I have created an http: link to a pdf document with information. In this way the viewer clicks on the Pages dropdown item, sees the info that provides the pdf link and then clicks on the link to the pdf to view it.

Is there a way to allow the viewer to click on one of the pages dropdown items and have the pdf item pull up directly?

I want to allow the viewer to click on the item and then have the pdf pull up without the intermediate step of having a page displayed that you /then/ have to click on…
