I ended up buying the pro version. Looks like that is what was needed.

I do have a question what the difference is between a taxonomy and a category is… When you would you use a taxonomy?

Is there a way to display a gallery of all pictures in a category or subcategory?

    thanks!

    Hello @classicdaily,

Thank you for purchasing the PRO version, hope you will enjoy using it.

    (1) Taxonomy is a way to categorize something. Category is one of possible taxonomies. You can categorize your pictures by category, by tag, by color, by genre, etc. So, category, tag, color, genre are taxonomies. In most cases having taxonomy “Media Category” is enough for image categorizing.

    (2) No – for a gallery based on a category at the moment, but the feature will be available in the upcoming version.
Yes – for all pictures from a category: with the code like this https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/php-displaying-an-array-of-images-per-category-or-categories or with the plugin like Search & Filter
