Directions between markers

  • Hi – great plugin!

    One thing I was having an issue with is the directions. When I enable directions it gives me directions from my location to the marker. Is it possible to have directions from one marker to another?

    For example: I am building a site for a Mountain lodge, I have the Lodge as a marker on the map and there are other markers that represent points of interest near the lodge, I would like the user to receive directions from the Lodge to that point of interest (even though the user may be using the map from home, not from the lodge)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Are you using the free or the premium version purchased from CodeCanyon? I’m just checking since the free version (downloaded from www.ads-software.com) doesn’t have directions included.

    To answer your question, however, Hero Maps unfortunately only allows for directions to be used from the user’s location, and doesn’t have functionality of the kind you are inquiring about.

    I am using the premium purchased version. I have looked through the documentation but I didn’t see anything to do with my request. It sounds like it’s not possible?

    Unfortunately not – initially it makes use of the user’s location to get the directions.

    Once a user clicks on the get directions button, it opens Google Maps itself in a new tab/window, at which point the user themselves will be able to adjust their starting point, but this isn’t possible within the plugin itself.
