  • It would help if you tell us what you’re trying to do.

I’m assuming you’ve just installed wordpress. In which case, have you enabled php on your server?

When does this error appear? Did it ever work? What did you do before the error appeared? What did your host answer when you asked them?

    ..details…

I got this problem after writting my username “admin” and corresponding password

i already set the security of the directory “www.mywebsitename.com/wp-admin”
    to:

    Anonymous Web user
    >Read:allow
    >Write:deny
    >Execute:allow

    Application pool identity account
    >Read:allow
    >Write:deny
    >Execute:allow

    Authenticated FTP user
    >Read:allow
    >Write:allow
    >Execute:allow

the only things that i can change from my CPanel is the option “write” of Anonymous Web user & Application pool identity account.

Obviously i’ve already tried allowing everything..
but im not sure if it depends only about this configuration or do i have to do something else?

please, any help would be really good for me.
i’m really new doing this kind of stuff(probably this is a stupid question for someone else).

    Thanks!

A link always would be helpful…
I’d suspect index.php is not set as a valid index file on your server.

That’s why I asked what did your host answer when you told them about the error?
