Directory privacy after wp-admin change

    Hi guys

    Im trying to set up a secondary directory security popup login via cpanel (‘directory privacy’) when anyone accesses wp-admin but as we have used Shield to change the wp-admin url it results in a redirect loop.

    Can you advise on what is the best way to approach this?

    Are you sure it’s Shield causing the problem? Have you tried disabling it? Shield shouldn’t affect the wp-admin like that, and if this is an apache directive, it’d come into effect even before WP loads. Can you test disabling Shield?

    Thanks you may be right, I disabled it & tried again & same issue. Ill contact hosting.
