Is there a way to disable all the notification messages for all users? My clients do not need to be pestered constantly about new features (smart crop) or that the media library has to be a certain way for your plugin to show information.

    Hi @pnwwebworks,

    Thanks for your message!

The notification messages not only contain information about new features that you could find useful, but also important information such as conflicts with other plugins or quota warnings.

We are working on some solution to be able to disable the messages for certain users, but for now you can always dismiss the messages or use a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-wp-notification/ (not recommended though, you may miss important warnings).

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

I agree with @pnwwebworks, some messages from Shortpixel are like sticking plaster you can’t rid of.
For instance, since a few weeks/months in my sites, the “smartly crop thumbnail” message comes back again and again, no matter if i dismiss it.
    This is cumbersome! ??

Sorry to hear about that @pnwwebworks and @studioavanti.

We’ll get this double checked and see if we can reproduce. Normally the notifications shouldn’t appear again after being dismissed.

Thanks for your patience until we get this resolved!

Thank you for checking @petredobrescu ??

I would also like to chime in on this subject. I maintain a lot of websites and the “smartly crop” notification comes back after they’ve been dismissed. I have to dismiss these notices over and over again on every website during my weekly maintenance routine. I think they return every time the plugin is updated. I would appreciate a notification staying off once it is dismissed. Thanks.

    Hi Celeste,

We are still working on this, but could you please make sure you have no cache plugin active in the backend? It’s possible that something is caching those notices. If that doesn’t help, could you please open a new thread for your particular issue?

    Thank you!

I use caching on the server side but i doubt this is a problem, unless SPIO is different from other plugins regarding notifications.
I mean others respect the user choice. ??
