    G’day Hector,

This plugin doesn’t ask the user to select which card they are using. What plugin are you integrating with? e.g. WooCommerce, WP e-Commerce, Events Manager, AWPCP?

    cheers,
    Ross

    Hi Ross,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I am using Woocommerce in a Network (MU) hence I thought that the elegant solution is to manage via the admin, rather than hacking the php. Thus, Site A could choose certain cards and Site B a different set, rather than forcing them all to to the same settings, which will rarely hit the target.

    G’day Hector,

This plugin (eWAY Payment Gateway) doesn’t ask the customer to select what card they’re using, the customer just enters their card number, cardholder name, expiry month/year, and CVN. Either the eWAY account is configured for accepting AMEX/Diners or it isn’t; none of this plugin’s business.

i.e. there is no hacking of anything required, because the plugin doesn’t care what card you use — only eWAY does.

    cheers,
    Ross

Oh crap. Sorry for the confusion. You are totally right, it recognises the BIN and thus does not prompt for the type of card. Never mind, I was looking at the output from another gateway.

    Many thanks Ross

No worries, glad we cleared that up ??

Yeah, I was amazed by this too – no option to turn off specific cards.
    Try this though: https://www.sitekickr.com/snippets/wordpress/javascript-validation-prevent-amex-payments
