Disable author to see payments

  • Hi,

    I have a question. I am running a wordpress/woocommerce webshop with a blog.
    for my blog there are guest bloggers and I gave them the role author to write and publish posts.

    I wanted to see for myself how it looks like when being an author and I logged in. It seems authors can see the payments of the webshop. They cannot edit or do something with it but it is visible..

    I am hoping there is some kind of option to disable this. So they can not see any payments done. Because the names and bank accounts of my clients are in the page as well.

    I wouldn′t recommend you to store sensible information about your clients in your WordPress/WooCommerce site.
    If you do so, you will need to setup a really secure site, in order to protect your clients information.

    About the authors permissions, I think that you can use a plugin to control their options and permissions, something like:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-access-manager/

    I′m not 100% sure that this plugin is enough, but you can check on WordPress plugins and try different ones.

    Hi,

    I can’t help the information being there. When people order something it’s going to be there. So that is something i cannot change..

    I have tried the plugin but it doesn’t show this option ?? because the information is from a payment plugin in wordpress..
    I have contacted them already and they are wiling to fix that in the next update but for now it isn’t very helpfull..
