Didn’t there used to be a checkbox in Wordfence to disable automatic scans? I can’t find it in ver 7. I need to disable the scans. If no checkbox, is there another way to turn off automatic scanning? MTN

On the “All Options” sheet, I see

    “Schedule Wordfence Scans
    DISABLED
    ENABLED”

Isn’t scheduling scans a premium feature, so this is not a functional choice in Free version? Or does clicking above “Disabled” turn off scanning for both free and premium?

    Thanks for any help. MTN

    Hi @mountainguy2,

For both versions you can choose to disable/enable automatic scans.

The difference is that in the free version you can’t choose when the scans will run; Wordfence will choose when to scan the site.

Thank Yann, but no where on that page you link to does it say how to disable automatic scanning. Can you give us a hint? Thanks, MTN

    Hi @mountainguy2,

As you mentioned you can do so from the Scan Scheduling section; the Schedule Wordfence Scans are the automatic scans. Just select “Disabled” and hit the “Save Changes” button.
