Hi TranslatePress. I can see that you have the smart feature that when I translate a string, then that same string will be autotranslated all over my site.

In some situations, what in English is just the same word will not always translate into the same word in the other language.

Is it possible to disable the auto-translate-all-equal-strings feature on chosen strings?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Seeven,

No, there isn’t really a way to disable it. What you can do is to wrap the text between a “translation-block”. Doing this will make the text be treated differently than the other ones.

Here is an explanation on how translation-block works, but it doesn’t really covers your questions https://translatepress.com/docs/translation-editor/#translation-blocks .

What you will have to do is to wrap the wanted text like in this example:
    <span class=”translation-block” data-context=”sad feeling”>blue</span>

Give it a try and let me know if it worked.

    Best regards,
    Cristian
