Disable Backup Zip / Expiration date?

I love most of this plugin, but don’t actually need the backup zip generated and saved to Media. Is there a way to disable that? Alternately, is there a way to have it expire and be deleted after (x) days? We’re finding huge amounts of archived backup files and would rather it be an automated deletion process. Thanks!
