Disable before using Duplicator
-
An excellent plugin, does exactly what it says, but if you create a WP site in one place i.e. a test server, with this plugin installed and then move the site to another location without disabling the plugin it will break the site in the new location.
I always develop a site, then use Duplicator to upload to the actual host to go live. It took me a while to track this plugin down as the problem which removed the CSS and JS. It uses the .htaccess file and the Rewrite rule to do the job, hence all the “this breaks my site” and “don’t use comments”.
Probably cured by updating the documentation and adding a warning to the top of the plugin page.
