  • Thanks Duuk, this usually doesn’t happen, maybe it’s a template issue. What’s your blog url?

    https://botonpurpura.com/en/
    and
    https://thekusilife.com/

Upon scrolling, the icons on the right side move up and then back down.

Thanks Duuk, but I don’t understand the issue. When I open the pages the icons on the right float fine. Could you please elaborate?

Yes, they float fine. I would much prefer the CSS position be “fixed” instead of “absolute” so that the “top” property doesn’t have to be adjusted every time the screen moves. Using the absolute position + adjusting “top” makes the position of the buttons lag behind in scrolling. So when I scroll down, the buttons scroll up until the javascript finishes and adjusts the “top” property to place the bottons back into position.

    Does that help?

Hi Duuk, I still struggle to follow you. Do you want to have the icons fixed or floating?

css position of “fixed” is still considered floating for me. “fixed” for CSS position means fixed in relation to the browser window. See the floating/fixed follow links on the right side at https://www.ymcatvidaho.org/. The difference I see between your plugin and that one is that when you scroll down the page, the YMCA page floating buttons remain floating in the same place, while your plugin floating buttons scroll up with the page initially and then readjust to be back in the center.
Do you see the difference? The rubber-banding of your plugin is not desirable for me. I love everything else about it, tho.

Ok, I think I now understand what you mean. That’s currently how our plugin works. If you want adjustments in the plugin, could you please contact us via the contact form on https://www.ultimatelysocial.com?

I close this topic for now – if issues remain please get in touch with us again.
