Disable Buddypress Integration

I am using the events manager plugin and I am also using Buddypress. However I don’t want to use them together. What is the best way to disable the events tab that is created in the Buddypress Members directory and anywhere else events info might appear within Buddypress?

I guess I could hide the Events tab using css, but I thought there may be a better way?
