Is there a way to disable the “click to enable” function on the media edit screen? Essentially so that they are always enabled… I want to add categories and tags to every attachment and this causes several extra clicks on every image I upload.

Thanks for your question. The current MLA version has a setting that can give you some improvements.

    1. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab.
    2. Scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section towards the bottom of the page.
    3. Check the “Media Manager auto-fill meta boxes” box.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes” to record the new setting.

That setting will load all the item’s terms as soon as the Details pane is activated and will open the top-most taxonomy area for entry.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions. Thanks for your interes in the plugin.

This definitely helps! the “Attachment details” page still collapses att_tags but I’m thinking it’s because it’s out of room at the bottom of the page?

Thanks for your update with the encouraging words. The auto-fill option will fill all of the taxonomy term lists and open up the first taxonomy shown in the Details pane. The other taxonomy areas have to be opened with a click.
