• Hi there,

I’m sure I’m missing seeing something so basic – but can someone please clarify exactly how I can temporarily disable Cloudflare on my wordpress site from my wordpress dashboard?

Is it just putting on development mode or purging cache or both?

I’m trying to migrate a site with Updraftplus which keeps failing and they say “before you begin, try to turn off any proxies that are between you and your site, such as Cloudflare, GoDaddy’s “Preview DNS” proxy, or Opera Turbo/Road mode. These can get in the way. Also, cacheing and minifying plugins are a possible cause of migration problems (whatever method you use). If possible, disable all of those before you create your backup”

I know I can turn off Cloudflare from the Cloudflare website but can’t work out where the ‘off’ button is on the actual wordpress dashboard settings for Cloudflare.

    Thanks so much ??

  • I do not think that there is a TURN OFF button on the plugin, because cloudflare dows not need the plugin to work.

    Hi @dandydahlia,

You can disable Cloudflare proxy by going to https://www.cloudflare.com/a/dns and clicking the orange cloud button in status section. It should turn gray when proxy is disabled.

You can deactivate the plugin from yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

For further questions please go to support.cloudflare.com.

    Thanks
