    Best,

First of all your plugin works great and it is easy to install.

But I’am facing a issue. The issue is that I can’t disable the code snippet from the Tag Manager connection. If I turn the button ‘Let Site Kit place code on your website’ to disable, it is not disabling it.

Can you help me with this issue?

I like to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Dimitri

Hello @dunicotech thanks for getting in touch and glad to hear you’re enjoying using the plugin. If you are un-toggling the ‘Let Site Kit place code on your website’ then Site Kit should not be placing the Tag Manager code on your site.

This could have been manually placed or placed by another plugin so I’d be happy to have a look for you if you can share the information below:

    1. Your Site Health Information. You can share this privately if you prefer using this form.
    2. Do you recall placing the Tag Manager code manually? If so Site Kit won’t remove this if you select that option and if you wish to have the GTM module connected you will need the code on your site.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I’ve filled in the form.

I want to load the GTM script with Cookiebot instead of Site Kit.

I like to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    Dimitri

@dunicotech Thank you for sharing the information. Can I confirm that if you go to Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Tag Manager > Edit that the ‘Let Site Kit place code on your site’ option is not selected like you can see here?

    Hi Adam,

The option is selected but I can’t unselect the option.

@dunicotech The screenshot you have shared shows that Site Kit has detected that a Tag Manager container has already been placed on your site. I can see this from checking your source code. In the <head> section of your site there is a manually placed Tag Manager code snippet. This is why you see the message from Site Kit.

If you want Site Kit to place the code for you then you will first need to manually remove that code from the <head> section of your site. Unfortunately I am unable to assist you with that as it falls out of the scope of the plugin support. Once you remove the manually placed code you will be able to let Site Kit place the GTM code.
