• Hi!

I would like to start with telling you that I absolutely love your plugin!

I have just one issue with it… I have a site that has bbpress forums installed. Users are allowed to attach images to their posts and it can get REALLY a lot. bbpress automatically adds them to WP Media Library which triggers your great plugin and they get compressed.

To be honest I am not interested in compressing bbpress images at all. Would it be possible to tell Compress JPEG & PNG images: “If the image comes from bbpress leave it alone”?

It can be some PHP filter/additional function in functions.php. You don’t have to clutter your GUI for me.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for you suggestion.

Just to clarify your idea a bit: why aren’t you interested in compressing user’s uploads through BBPress? Wouldn’t the site benefit from having these images compressed as much as images uploaded through the admin interface?

It is really really A LOT of images and all of them are compressed in different dimensions (sometimes 1/5 sometimes 2/5 and sometimes 3/5 set dimensions – no idea why). These images will simply not be used in any other dimension than the original one only on forum.

And besides they are ever being viewed only by this one support client and one supporter and as I mentioned there is really A LOT of them so paying for compressing all these images is just killing me.

Ok, that’s clear. We’ll take your suggestion into consideration when planning new features. However, at this point, we cannot make any promises.

    Anyway, thanks for your suggestion!
