    Hi

I have an affiliate site. Is it possible to disable the cookie blocker before someone has declined them? I.e. set the default to enabled until they say otherwise.

    Thanks

    Hello @karenelated,

As you have configured the plugin for an “opt-out” region, which does not require explicit consent to be obtained in order to load non-functional cookies, this is already the case on your website currently.

So, with your current configuration: the scripts/cookies will not be blocked when initially visiting the site, until the visitor manually opts out on your Cookie Policy, after which these will be blocked.

    Hope this helps/clarifies!
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi Jarno

Thank you! This site is for the U.S. and Californian market.

My other site is for a South African market would that also apply?

Is it only the European GDPR regions that automatically block cookies?

Would that apply to the UK too?

    Thanks!

    Hi @karenelated,

Configuring the plugin for South Africa, the European Union or the United Kingdom would all result in the ‘opt-in’ banner, meaning that the Cookie Blocker will be activated for those regions as explicit opt-in for non-functional cookies is necessary.

    Hope it helps!
    Kind regards,
    Jarno
