    Hey Roger,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    MailChimp.com can sometimes force enable “Double Opt-in”. I would suggest also testing from their own forms with Double Opt-in disabled. Let us know if you still face the same issue.

    The MailChimp Double Opt-in option was already disabled.

    What can I do to avoid this opt-in e-mail?

    Hey Roger,

    If the “Double Opt-in” is forced enabled by MailChimp.com then there is nothing we can do from our end. Can you please test the signup form created directly with MailChimp.com and see if the opt-in email is sent?
