    Hi there,
I am using this plugin since some months on several different web sites and in general it works great with some precautions.

One problem we have is using it along with Elementor plugin, in particular some elementor templates are bad showed, seems assets are missing and so elements not properly displayed.

But other big problems are that “Deactivate cache”, “Clear cache” and “Disable assets optimization” features seems do nothing at all! The only way to really fix issues is by deactivating Hummingbird plugin from the WordPress Plugins main page.
When we totally deactivate the plugin, the “cache” is really disabled and all related issues disappears.

Then we enable again the Hummingbird plugin and issues come back again.

    So questions are:
    – why Hummingbird “Clear cache” feature do nothing?
    – why Hummingbird “Deacticate cache” do nothing? (seems plugin is still doing things under the hood)
    – why disabling Hummingbird assets optimization do nothing?
    – why if from Hummingbird->Caching page we disable caching toggle button for “My Templates (elementor_library)” section, issues are still there and impacting elementor templates?

Please help us to understand how to proper configure the plugin and avoid unexpected issues.

    Many thanks in advance!
    Diego.

    Hi @durantediego,

I hope you are doing well today!

This is an unexpected behavior that has never been reported before.
It could be related to dynamically created assets or manual mode on asset optimization.

1-Please go to Hummingbird->Asset Optimization and switch to Automatic mode if it is in Manual one, then click Clear Cache and click Re-check Files buttons there. Then wait for it to be finished, check your site again.

2-If that does not help then please visit Elementor->Tools-> and click Regenerate CSS & Data and Sync Library buttons. Repeat the step 1 again.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

    Hi @wpmudevsupport15 ,
    thanks for your response.

I tried your suggestion but nothing happens, issue still persist.

Another problem is that also the feature “See this page unminified” do nothing. Problem is always present.

The only thing that really fix the issue is by completely disabling Hummingbird plugin but of course I don’t want to do that since I would like to leverage the cache benefits.

How can I deeper degug this issue?

    Hi @durantediego

Could you please try the following?

Elementor > Settings > CSS Print method, switch it to internal.

Once done, recheck the Assets optimization files to get the updated files.

About the not working features, can you create a Staging website https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/ and run a plugin conflict test: https://wpmudev.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif

So we can confirm it is not any kind of conflict between Hummingbird and any other plugin.

    Best Regards

    Hi @wpmudevsupport12
many thanks for your suggestion which seems fixed the issue!! ??

    I changed the option:
Elementor → Settings → Advanced → CSS Print Method

From “External file” to “Internal Embedding” and it fixed the issue!
    Awesome!

    Thank you for the support!
    Diego.
