If you look at the image caption in the “Asteroid” section, you can see that the Glossary is enabled. Would be great to have a toggle setting in the admin panel to turn off Glossary for image captions.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I don’t see any term linked by Glossary, here are different photos, can you say to me what is the one with the issue?
Our plugin automatically ignore some specific html tag to look inside but this depends often on the theme.
The pro version offer a shortcode to let you ignore the area where you don’t want that the plugin is executed https://codeat.co/glossary/docs/ignore-terms-inside-the-content-pro/

    Hi Daniele,

Yes, I am aware of the ignore terms function and I am a pro user. I was making a suggestion for future release. If you go to the section of that page I referenced (scroll down) labeled Asteroid, there is an image in that section with a caption “Asteroid 4 Vesta with mean diameter of ?525.4±0.2 km is the largest asteroid in our Solar System. Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/UCLA/MPS/DLR/IDA”. In that caption there are two linked terms: Vesta & system.

Thinking in broader terms, for the Pro version, have an area in the Admin section where you could enter open and close tag pairs where you want Glossary to ignore would be really great. So that, a user could set <h1>…</h1> or [caption…[/caption] within which Glossary would be ignored.

We can add to the blacklist of terms the HTML tag figcaption so the glossary terms will be not added there.
I will let you know for an update ??

    Thank you!

Is this blacklist of terms accessible through the Admin? Or is it an editable file?

Sorry for simplistic question. I am not a programmer. ??

No right now is hard coded for safety and testing but we will work to add that.

    New suggestion for [glossary-ignore].

Daniele, as your plugin is one of the more important plugins I use, I’d like to suggest the following for a future Pro release. Instead of having to wrap specific section or individual words with the [glossary-ignore][/glossary-ignore], would be great to be able to also ignore a list of terms within a section.

    Proposed new feature:

    [glossary-ignore terms=”X,Y,Z”][/glossary-ignore]

It is something that we can evaluate but right now the code is based on to speed up the performance, so with this shortcode we don’t execute at all the plugin on the first analysis in that text.

To exclude terms we did in a different way to improve also the performance and cache. Inside the post now you can choose what taxonomies you want to use from the Glossary terms so will use only those terms in all the page.
In this way is possible to do groups of terms and pick in the article as you want and avoid performance issues.
