Disable htaccess

  • Is there a way to disable the htaccess protection from the plugin? Either through the dashboard or with a custom function?

    Just moved from nginx server so was able to use links on third party sites and in emails. Now the links return a 403 Forbidden error.

    When on the nginx server was able to use links like https://themefullgreen.assewp.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/dlm_uploads/2025/03/September-3.pdf in emails and posts/pages without using the download shortcode or on third party sites without an issue.

    Since moving to an apache server, any link used in previously distributed emails, in a post/posts as a basic link (not using the shortcode) or on a third party site now returns a Error 403 – Forbidden message.

    How can that error be prevented?

    Hello @safety13,

    You can delete the .htaccess file from the dlm-uploads folder if you want to allow direct access to those files from external sources.
