• Is there any way to disable individual FAQ question pages? We have the display all answers and group FAQs by category settings enabled, along with the “list” display style – so switching the FAQ toggle setting to No doesn’t remove the links (we wish it would – instead, we’ve overridden the PHP so the link is removed), but the individual pages still exist, appear in WordPress searches, etc. Is there any way to stop these individual pages from being created at all? Thanks!

  • Hi Jared,

Unfortunately, there’s no option in our plugin to disable the post pages (as they are necessary for UFAQ to function).

In terms of the posts appearing in WordPress searches: if you’re using the default WordPress search widget, there are probably plugins you can install that will exclude posts from search results.

    Hi EtoileWebDesign,

I stumbled upon you plugin too and so far I like it.
Why are the post pages necessary for your plugin to function?

Do you know the “public” option when registering a post type? You could use that to disable the individual post pages. I see no reason where this would harm other plugin functionality (however, I didn’t read through the whole code :-P)

    Best,
    Mario

    Hi Mario,

Thank you for the suggestion. As you mentioned, doing it this way likely wouldn’t cause any conflict with the plugin’s other functionality. It’s just that, for the benefit of the majority of users, having the option of the single post pages there by default is preferred.
