Disable Lightbox on featured image of post

Let me kindly mention that our lightbox works in the case if the image is added to an tag as a link. Thus, if you wish the images not to be opened in a lightbox then you can remove them from the tag or make them not to link to the media file type (from the Media Library).

Thanks for your reply.
The featured image is automaticly placed above the page title. And by default the featured image is clickable and will open the theme Lightbox. How can I untag this image and don’t link anymore so it will not open two lightboxes?
