I have created this template for my events:

    [ap_content]

    [ap_start_time icon=”true” label=”false”]

    [ap_location icon=”true” label=”false”]

It shows a link to the event at the bottom. Can this link be disabled?

    Thanks.

You are probably referring to how an Event shows up on Mastodon?

If so the answer is: no you cannot, because this is how Mastodon transforms an Event to a status.

Understood, this is not about how the plugin deals with mastodon, but about how mastodon deals with the fediverse…

That is also the reason because mastodon doesn’t shows the updates made on events, true?

Correct. Events have received little attention until now, but I hope this will change.

Here is the tracking issue on Mastodon for it to handle updates of events: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/31114 If you have a GitHub account feel free to upvote it.

    Thanks!

Any workaround for this? Meanwhile I will just create a new event with duplicate info and delete the old. Will mastodon handle the event deletion? Any idea on a better workaround than this one?

Mastodon should handle the deletion. There is no workaround, but it is up to us all to encourage Mastodon to prioritize such issues!
