Disable on mobile devices

I know it’s possible to target the background images by CSS but I think that will only hide them and they will still load in the background? I’d like to keep my site as lightweight as possible on mobile but this plugin makes it unresponsive and slow. For now I have to disable it, which I hate to do because the plugin is very awesome!
