Hi Sam, that option depends on the browsers PDF Viewer plugin. Easy FancyBox is just an alternative way to embed media, it’s not a PDF Reader.

Some browsers use the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin for which there are some URL parameters available like toolbar=0 that might work. See https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/pdf_open_parameters.pdf

But other browsers like Chrome use their own PDF Viewer which might not listen to those parameters, see https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=64309

Besides, posting a link to the PDF file on your site (even if it opens in a lightbox frame when clicked) will not prevent anyone (including search engines) from accessing that URL directly to download or open the PDF file in any viewer/reader they desire. Welcome the free web ??
