Disable "Powered by" text in plugin

Hi There,
I’m wondering how we can disable to frontend “Powered by” advertising? Shouldn’t there be an option somewhere? Per www.ads-software.com plugin guidelines:

The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.
I don’t remember the plugin ever asking if this was OK nor do I see any option to disable it.
