Disable REST API to prevent scraping of jobs adverts

    Hello. Has anyone tried to disable REST API in order to prevent jobs being scraped by 3rd parties. We are having an issue with jobs being scraped from our careers site.

    As WP Job Manager do not have a setting for disabling the Rest API content, you need to use another plugin called “Disable REST API”. It has the option to disable some specific parts. I have installed and tested.

    Thanks for your reply. Did you find that this stopped content from being scraped?

    Scraping can be done in many different ways. There is RSS, there are crawling bots, there are humans.

    You can disable the RSS feature on your site using plugins. You can block bots and GPTs from your .htaccess file, robots.txt file, or similar mechanism.

    You need to understand who you are after and then you can fix a course. Each tool works in a different way.
