• Is there any way to disable the “you need to right click?” Notification after I’ve seen it 1,000 times? I don’t feel like Elementor used to do this, it started after an update. I use a trackpad and I actually hate having to right click, before the normal click was much more intuitive, I clicked on the section, column, or item menu and it opened to edit. Now I have to right click and choose edit. It’s an annoying and slower way to get to the editor, and it’s much worse if I have to click “got it” every. Single. Time. Am I the only one the workflow has gotten worse for? I’m still working on a local install if that matters.

  • Hi Wendy,

    Yes, there is!
Elementor>Settings> Advanced> check “Show editing handlers”

    Hope this helps,
    Annie

Thank you! That does help as it restores the section duplication button, however the alert for “Meet Right Click” With the green “Got It” button still pops up even with show selected.

Really? Strange I tried it before posting earlier and it did no longer pop up over here..
I will try again and let you know!

Nope, when that is enabled, it does no longer pop up over here.
    Hmmm, tried clearing cache?

No cache on as it’s a local site I’m building on. I can tell changing Show and Hide is doing something because like I said the duplicate section isn’t there when it’s on hide.

Yes, you are correct, it changed something, so could not be cache.
I tried it serveral times and the pop up is gone for good here.

I found this topic though that might help:
    https://github.com/pojome/elementor/issues/5047

You can download a zip file that seems to hide it, did not use it as I do not have this issue….very strange!

Going to check a few other sites to see if it happens there.

YES! That’s exactly it! It’s been going on for some people since July. I hope they’ll address it!

Thank you – there’s a plugin on that site that’ll hide it, but that is extremely annoying. Clicking “Got it” doesn’t remember it even til I refresh the page, much less permanently.

Ok, tried a second site, and it happens there too ( it keeps popping up although I set it to “show handles”. How peculiar!

Anything in the browser console, like a script error?

Ooh, great question Philip. Yes, actually.

Hmm, not sure what to suggest because I can’t see the entire error but it does look like it’s related to a notification and I’m curious if any more errors generate when you click the notification. This might indicate a script that is broken or blocked that would otherwise initiate a json ajax call to store the action in the database so you receive no more notifications for this specific context.
