You can, but it’s not worth the effort.
Disableing right-click won’t help because:
- You still have the ability to drag-and-drop the image onto your desktop.
- The image is stored in the browsers cache unless you go through more hoops to disable caching of the image
- Users can still find the URL of the image and view it directly, which will let them save it directly from there.
- If all else fails, users can still take screenshots.
Now, if you really want to go to a huge effort, you can disable all of these, but honestly it will be ahuge job and you will never be able ot 100% stop everything.
If the images are really that important the best thing to do is add a small non-intrusive watermark so people will know where they have come from. That’s really the only thing that works even a small percentage of the time.
